Fahmida Nabi’s new album released

Popular singer Fahmida Nabi has released her 12th solo album titled Ichhey Hoi targeting the Eid market. The singer hopes that the album, the teamwork of a group of talented musicians, will hit the market.

Zulfiqar Russel has penned all the eight songs of the album, which have been composed by famous musician brothers Naquib Khan and Shahbaz Khan Pilu. Another popular singer Bappa Majumder has lent voice in a duet with Fahmida titled Tumi pashe bole.

‘The album is an output of a remarkable teamwork. We worked hard to make the project perfect,’ Fahmida Nabi told this reporter.

‘All the songs of the album belong to the romantic genre and the tunes set by the musicians are extraordinarily melodious, which do not heard much in the contemporary audio albums’, she added.

Another unique feature of the album is the use of acoustics when most of the albums released these days feature technologically manipulated sound tracks.

‘All the compositions of the songs match well with my voice,’ said Fahmida adding that the audience will enjoy songs of the album such as Majhe majhe obujh bolo, Amake keno dukhho dao, Tumi onek bhalo jano, Ichchhe kore emon koro and Tumi Asbe bole.

Fahmida Nabi is also scheduled to sing in a number of live and recorded programmes for different private TV channels during the Eid festival.

She will sing in a phono-live programme on ETV on the Eid day and on Desh TV on August 16.

In addition, Fahmida will appear at a number of programmes on BTV, ATN Bangla, SATV, Asian TV and radio stations such as Radio Foorti and Dhaka FM during the Eid festival.

‘Phono-live programmes are completely different ones compared to recorded music programmes and concerts. It gives opportunity for the fans to talk with the singers thereby creates opportunity for the artistes to know much about the tastes of the fans and their concepts regarding the artistes. In fact, such programmes give opportunity for self-evaluation’, said Fahmida Nabi.

But, she believes that channels should take initiatives to produce music videos of the renowned singers and bands during the Eid festival, which would add more colours to the Eid festivity and would also promote artistes and bands.
